Liz Twist and other MPs argued that mental health is still not treated on a par with physical health, citing large waiting lists, child delays and funding gaps; the Minister said NHS mental health spending would reach £16.1bn in 2026-27, budgets would be protected in real terms for three years, and a new all-ages mental health strategy for England is due later this year.
