Marston Vale transport plans tested by Universal resort, new homes and East West Rail
Blake Stephenson pressed ministers for a single transport plan before the Universal UK resort opens in 2031, arguing that separate planning for East West Rail, 5,000 homes and road upgrades could leave local roads and level crossings under strain; Lilian Greenwood defended planned rail, road and station investment and promised further detail on A421 resilience and spending, while agreeing to consider wider involvement of developers and East West Rail in joined-up planning.
