MPs press ministers over slow progress on brain cancer research and treatment
In a petition debate prompted by the case of Stephen Realf, MPs said brain tumour patients still face late diagnosis, limited clinical trials and uneven care, and urged the Government to release the rest of a £40m research pledge; the Minister pointed to new funding, a rare cancers chapter in the national cancer plan and an autumn update on tumour tissue storage.
