Maya Ellis presented a petition from Walton-le-Dale residents opposing plans that could cut down 18 royal lime trees on Victoria Road, which they say are a 112-year-old memorial to King George V and Queen Mary. The petition argues the Environment Agency has not properly considered local heritage or less disruptive alternatives, and calls for an independent review of the design of flood defences.
