Ministers said they are using trade and diplomatic ties to back Scottish exports, attract investment and promote sectors such as shipbuilding, technology and life sciences, while MPs pressed them on airline links, rural connectivity, visa problems for Scots travelling to the United States and whether the Secretary of State is doing enough to represent Scotland’s interests.
