Lords clash over plans to give workers six months, not three, to bring some tribunal claims
Ministers said the longer deadline would give people a fairer chance to prepare and fit with wider reforms, but opponents warned it would add to an already overloaded tribunal system, where cases are taking years to clear. The Government said it is pursuing a phased overhaul, with more judges, more hearing capacity and a new Fair Work Agency from 2027, but the amendment was withdrawn after no firm answer on how delays would be tackled.
